The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), a voice for private medicine since 1943, enthusiastically supports Alieta Eck, MD for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District seat in the United States House of Representatives.
This is an opportunity to send a physician with proven answers to Capitol Hill. Dr. Eck has personally implemented real solutions – based in freedom, not coercion – that increase access to medical care, decrease costs, and increase quality.
The incumbent Democrat Congressman Rush Holt announced he is NOT going to seek reelection. Holt’s departure makes Dr. Eck THE front-runner to be the next Congressman from New Jersey’s District 12.
She not only preaches a specific alternative to the government welfare of Medicaid, but practices it! She has been instrumental in New Jersey to help develop legislation for that alternative.
For 10 years Dr. Eck has successfully run a volunteer health care center, http://zhcenter.org, serving the uninsured and poor in New Jersey without taxpayer funding.
Apart from the free clinic, she runs a private practice in Internal Medicine so she understands the pressures government places on small businessmen in this economy.
Dr. Eck is a Past President of the AAPS and has advocated for patient-centered solutions for over 20 years.
Through a decade of a working with New Jersey’s uninsured, Dr. Eck understands what will really help get those in need back on their feet so they are no longer dependent on government assistance. Her patient Debra will soon walk for the first time in 3 years, thanks to Dr. Eck, after big-government programs failed to care for her.
In addition Dr. Eck has experience on Capitol Hill, twice testifying at the invitation of Congress – to present the serious ideas that will lower costs, and increase access to care for all Americans without a big government take over.
