H.R. 5725: The Patient Freedom Act of 2014

Legislation to repeal the Individual Mandate is introduced (House Ways and Means) as Congress continues its attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act piece by piece.

The Patient Freedom Act of 2014, H.R. 5725, sponsored by Rep. David Jolly (R-FL) was introduced on November 17, 2014 and referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means Committee. The legislation would repeal the ACA’s individual mandate after 2013. In July 2013, the Obama administration already delayed the implementation of the employer mandate until 2015.
