S. 2908: Affordable Health Insurance for the Middle Class Act

Another Change to Obamacare that Tacitly Admits its Unaffordability.

Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) introduced the “Affordable Health Insurance for the Middle Class Act.”

This bill, S. 2908 was assigned to the Finance Committee on September 18, 2014.

This bill is short and simple. It would amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (part of the ACA) to expand eligibility for the refundable credit for coverage under a qualified health plan. Currently those with a household income of 400 percent above the poverty line. The bill would raise this to 600 percent.
