AAPS News March 2025 – Detransitioning?

Volume 81, no. 3

After a few weeks of the Trump Administration, there is hope that the U.S. can “detransition” from an oppressive Uniparty regime, with all institutions dominated by “woke” cultural Marxists who are hostile to America. The Administration is targeting the heart: the flow of federal funds.

An astounding percentage of tax revenue passes through USAID and is pumped into tax-exempt (“nonprofit”) nongovernmental (but government-funded) organizations (NGOs), which provide multimillion dollar benefits to members of both parties and carry out the power elite’s policy objectives. This includes the dirty work that a rogue cell of the CIA wants to accomplish, for which it might not be able to obtain a presidential finding, states Mike Benz. USAID has infected the institutional architecture of every aspect of American and world society. USAID has, for example, funded projects for overthrowing governments, as through “color revolutions”; rigging the media; catalyzing censorship laws; prosecutorial lawfare; and university programs to radicalize students (https://tinyurl.com/e5u65nt4).

Major left-leaning news organizations, such as the New York Times and Politico have been propped up by millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars for “subscriptions” (tinyurl.com/yp2pesht).

People believe that USAID (the U.S. Agency for International Development) is about humanitarian assistance, but it actually provides very little aid to the needy.

Can this deeply embedded cancer be extirpated? President Kennedy is believed to have said he would dismantle the CIA. President Nixon was reportedly obsessed with the CIA’s role in the “Bay of Pigs thing” and possibly JFK’s assassination. Did the CIA conspire to bring down his presidency? The power elite has tremendous resources and may stop at nothing when faced with an existential threat. An effort to imitate the Left’s long march through the institutions is doomed. “Shock and awe” is vital.

Detransition to What?

The concept of detransitioning implies a return to a natural, normal state. But a key part of gender ideology is to obliterate the concept of normality. In 16 states, transgender indoctrination is forced on students in curriculum standards (tinyurl.com/yna8nyz2). What LGBTQ++ persons have in common is what used to be called deviancy of various types. Now, everyone needs to be fitted into the categorization: a person is not simply a man or a woman, but a “cisgender” man or woman. What used to be called romance or true love—leading to life-long commitment—is suspected of being “love addiction” (tinyurl.com/2s45t5rk).

Once the moral boundaries that divine law places on sex are breached, and sex roles blurred, is there any going back?

The Sicilian Expedition in the 30-year Peloponnesian War is instructive. Factions of Athens deemed an invasion of Sicily critical to overall victory. Inherent to their argument was the reality that conquest of Sicily would be extremely lucrative. The Athenian opposition lost, and the attack proceeded. It took the entire fleet and all its citizen manpower, and it was entirely defeated.

Athens could rebuild the ships, but it could not rebuild the men, writes Joe Murphy. Thirty thousand citizen sailors were lost in the expedition—the heart of the civilizational power of Athens. The demographic catastrophe is considered a cause of its eventual defeat in the war and its civilizational decline (https://tinyurl.com/3a49v4wr).

Even without a Sicilian Expedition, American men are being destroyed. Millions have been lost through abortion. Their health is damaged from childhood. Ambition, confidence, and intellectual development are suppressed by the educational system. Young men are being emasculated or corrupted psychologically with drugs, sexual grooming, pornography, or increasingly with surgical mutilation. The most qualified applicants are denied opportunities because of “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI), and leaders are chosen based on politics, not merit.

We can’t make women into the strongest and most effective firefighters or combat troops, but we can weaken men or purge the strongest ones, depriving women and children of their natural protectors. We must detransition while we still can.

Sacrifice to Live

Detransitioning from government dependence to self-reliance is a frightening, risky step that Americans must take. Kenneth LeCroy, M.D., writes about his painful experience moving from a 7,500 sq ft office to 1,200 sq ft and from 6,000 to 600 patients—with no predictive technology on what will happen.

One of his patients told him that his great-grandfather was in the Union Navy in the Civil War. One of the old salts said that when a wooden ship founders on a reef or sandbar it is necessary to go into the hull and cut much of it out. Otherwise, the tide and the waves will continue to push the boat up and down and break up the ship, killing everyone. His GGF settled in Galveston and built a nice home. Barometers were falling, and a bad hurricane was thought to be coming. There was no good forecasting, but the yard was wet with salt water. GGF took his family to the attic and cut out all the floors. That house still stands—all the others were turned to kindling, and 8,000 people died (tinyurl.com/4hfyszbm).

Water is rising, and it’s salt water. People will think you are crazy, and you might be wrong. But “sometimes you must tear up the floor to save the family.… Start chopping,” he writes.

Natural Law: the First Principle

The vital foundation of the U.S. Constitution, often overlooked, is natural law as explained by Cicero (106 B.C. to 43 B.C.). Natural law, which conforms to the will of the Creator, “is universal, spontaneous, knows no national or regional boundaries, is irrefutable, and cannot be denied by man,” writes Allen Zeng (tinyurl.com/27yhzuz6). “Its constants are goodness, universality, adherence to objective truth, comprehensibility, and earthly morality.” Inalienable rights, with life being the most basic, include the right to property and to create wealth. Other basic rights include the right to protect family and marriage, parental responsibility, and their right to educate children.

Flashback—Thoughts on ‘Hippies’

After watching a History Channel documentary:

“It was an age of blissful innocence
“It was an age of muted guilt
“A generation wrecking things
“It never could have built.
“Screaming peace and love and harmony
“Unshackled from the past
“It was an age of shocking firsts
“It was an age that couldn’t last….
“It was the stunning sound of silence
“At the song’s so sudden end
“It was an age of truth and beauty
“Turned to lies and ugliness.”

Sicily Redux

Two decades ago, factions argued that biowarfare threats were so significant that biodefense responsibility needed to be removed from the purview of the uniformed military and placed within the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID). This action, called BioShield, fused the pharmaceutical industry with biodefense and fused the public health agencies with the intelligence community. The two entities in America not held accountable by law or practice, the vaccine industry and the intelligence community, were joined into one, writes Joe Murphy (op. cit.), forming an oligarchy. Biodefense acolytes called COVID a war and treated it as such. “Essentially, Americans were subjected to a counterterror-insurgency strategy implemented against them by the administrative state in response to the virus.”

In a parallel to Athens, the Demos emerged in opposition to the Oligarchy.  The losses to SARS-CoV-2 and the initial response  were like the initiation of the Sicilian Expedition. The loss of the fleet and the citizen-warriors came with the “vaccine.” Unlike in Athens, the numbers are concealed by the Oligarchy, but most Americans know many who were killed or injured by the shots.  The Navy cannot man its ships. All organizations complain of manpower shortages, and it is not simply a recruitment problem. We do not know whether we are already Athens.

“Public virtue cannot exist in a nation without private [virtue], and public virtue is the only foundation of republics.”

John Adams

The Founders on ‘Happiness’

In a 2025 keynote address to the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC), Jeff Rosen explored the connection between virtue, self-mastery, and happiness, drawing from the writings of American founders like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson. By reading classic texts on moral philosophy, he rediscovered the importance of personal responsibility and the pursuit of long-term virtue over short-term pleasure. He started by reading Ben Franklin’s autobiography, which quoted Cicero: “Without virtue, happiness cannot be.” Thomas Jefferson also chose the same book by Cicero, The Tusculan Disputations, for the definition of happiness. For our Founders, happiness meant being good, not feeling good. Aristotle in The Nichomachean Ethics defined happiness as “an activity of the soul in conformity with excellence or virtue.” George Washington said in his farewell address that “personal self-government is essential to political self-government.” With self-mastery, reason rules passion (https://tinyurl.com/4vnbeuht).

The Destruction of USAID

Russian political philosopher Alexander Dugin compares the dismantling of USAID to the abolition of the Comintern and the Cominform, which marked the beginning of the end for the international Soviet system. USAID, he writes, was the main operational structure for the implementation of globalist projects. Most USAID branches worldwide served as cover for CIA activities, into which globalist ideas were actively embedded.

Some committed liberals, he states, will continue their activities out of ideological conviction, but they are a very small percentage. The vast majority of liberalism and global liberal networks operate on the principle of “money for loyalty.” This funding for subversive activities will cease. This “is a blow to the entire global liberal environment. Essentially, it is a missile strike on the headquarters of globalism” (tinyurl.com/bhz42hvb).

Will the U.S. detransition from a global empire to a republic within a Westphalian system of national sovereignty? (AAPS News, August 2024).

Soros-USAID Partnership

USAID’s funding has dovetailed with the grantmaking of leftist billionaire George Soros’s Open Society Foundations. Their joint programs promoted radical social agendas throughout the developing world. The Foundations bankrolls a leftist group, say the Center for American Progress, which feeds staff into the federal government. The group pushes the administration to take extreme stances on climate, immigration, gender ideology, and more  (https://tinyurl.com/4ytj8mhu).

AAPS Files Amicus in Thomas v. Harder

AAPS has filed a brief in the Supreme Court supporting Dr. Paul Thomas’s petition for writ of certiorari. The key issue is the Ninth Circuit Court’s holding that the Oregon Medical Board (OMB) has absolute immunity. Dr. Thomas brought suit under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against the members and staff of the OMB for intentionally persecuting him for his research and views on childhood vaccines, and for forcing him out of his medical practice. OMB suspended his medical license 11 days after he published a peer-reviewed article showing that unvaccinated children are healthier than vaccinated ones.

“As a judicially created doctrine that is anachronistic today except as applied to judges and the President, absolute immunity for other public officials is an invitation to tyranny without accountability,” the brief states. The First Amendment rights of physicians and all professionals such as veterinarians, attorneys, and accountants are imperiled by the Ninth Circuit decision. Indeed, many other license holders are at risk if retaliation against professional licenses is enshrouded in absolute immunity. It becomes unsafe for any professional or licensee to speak out on controversial issues such as transgender operations or abortion.

OMB’s conduct against Dr. Thomas is not an isolated incident. Now, OMB has proposed a new rule authorizing it to revoke medical licenses based on a physician’s “microaggressions,” and even seeks to require physicians “to report ‘indirect or subtle behaviors’ that ‘reflect negative attitudes or beliefs’” (https://tinyurl.com/3ev728tn).

Can Pharmacies Use ‘Do Not Fill’ Lists?

Pharmacies are now putting physicians on nationwide “do not fill” lists from corporate headquarters, typically without any explanation. Courtney Morgan, M.D., won a preliminary injunction against Walgreens from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, which Walgreens has appealed to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. AAPS is supporting Dr. Morgan.

All of Dr. Morgan’s prescriptions for any controlled substance are being categorically refused, even though the same prescription would be honored if written by another prescriber.

As the district court correctly found, “Dr. Morgan holds unrestricted medical and DEA prescribing licenses and operates a state-inspected pain management clinic that has consistently passed detailed inspections by the Florida Department of Health.”

The effect on Dr. Morgan’s practice and on his patients would be devastating. Walgreens presented no witnesses and asked no questions of the physician’s witnesses at the preliminary injunction hearing in district court.

Attorney Andrew Schlafly argues that Walgreens is essentially demanding that it “be allowed to exclude any physician at any time for any reason, which would be a blank check for Walgreens to practice medicine in an arbitrary, unexplained manner while inflicting harm” (https://tinyurl.com/yksssfhy).

 Are Vaccines ‘Unavoidably Unsafe’?

The original “Conspiracy Theorists,” who, in 1986, passed into law the “medical misinformation” that vaccines were “unavoidably unsafe” and potentially caused autism, were Ronald Reagan and the members of the 99th Congress. The law, the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 300aa-1 to 300aa-34) passed the House of Representatives by a voice vote. The language was based on language from the Second Restatement of Torts adopted by most state courts in the mid-1960s.  While the U.S. Supreme Court never decided that vaccines are “unavoidably unsafe” directly, it acknowledged in the 2011 Bruesewitz v. Wyeth case that Congress considers them to be so.

More than 20 medical organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics sided with Wyeth to deny Hannah Bruesewitz compensation for severely disabling injuries from the Tri-Immunol DTP vaccine.

“A lobbyist for the pharmaceutical industry may argue over breakfast in Washington, DC that vaccines are ‘unavoidably unsafe’ and then drive to Annapolis at lunchtime and testify that Maryland should remove religious exemptions to vaccines required for school entry because ‘vaccines are safe,’” writes Ginger Taylor (https://tinyurl.com/k83mycfd).

SCOTUS Allows Drag Show Ban to Stand

The Tennessee Adult Entertainment Act, passed in 2023, does not allow “adult-oriented performances” in public spaces, or anywhere where minors may see them. An injunction against enforcement in the case of Friends of George’s v. Mulroy was overturned by the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to rehear the case, so the 6th Circuit decision stands.

“Free speech is a sacred American value, but the First Amendment does not require Tennessee to allow sexually explicit performances in front of children,” stated Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti (https://tinyurl.com/yck8yuxr).

Hospital Kidnapping

“During the early pandemic,” writes Jeff Childers, “my office was swamped with…cases where desperate families called us because their loved one went into the hospital for an unrelated condition, like a broken ankle, then failed a mandatory covid test, and [soon ended up] in a coma, on the ventilator.” Hospitals refused to discharge the patients so that families could arrange alternative care. “In cases we were forced to litigate, hospitals spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on defensive tall-building lawyers.” The problem: Most hospitals’ total income is almost entirely sourced from Medicare/Medicaid. Hospitals basically have one customer, and it isn’t the patient. Worse, Medicare/Medicaid establishes the “approved” treatment protocols for nearly every condition, and the hospitals’ financial existence depends on compliance (https://tinyurl.com/muduz449).

Tip of the Month. Only three states—California, Texas, and Florida—continue to prohibit physicians from referring to themselves as “board certified” unless they comply with onerous, costly, and senseless Maintenance of Certification (MOC). The Oklahoma Board of Medicine just formally recognized the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS) such that NBPAS-certified physicians can promote themselves as “board certified.” Why are the “red” states of Texas and Florida still mandating the MOC imposed by censorship-prone specialty societies? Beware that many hospitals and insurance networks also require MOC.

‘Illegitimate’ Prescriptions? The Dept. of Justice has filed a lawsuit alleging that CVS filled prescriptions for controlled substances that lacked a legitimate medical purpose and sought reimbursement from federal healthcare programs in violation of the False Claims Act (https://tinyurl.com/yc33a76s). How can CVS know the purpose? Have they developed a device to read minds? Additionally, the government can apparently decide how much of certain drugs “needs” to be produced. In December 2024, DEA published the aggregate production quotas (APQ) for schedule I and schedule II controlled substances for calendar year 2025. The final order also establishes the assessment of annual needs (AAN) for ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and phenylpropanolamine, known as list 1 chemicals.

Deniers. Two female academic lawyers, in an article in Tijdschrift voor Criminologie (Journal of Criminology) insist that lawyers for the defense should be called “guilt deniers,” who are delaying the state’s efforts to carry out judgment against the accused, who must be guilty because they were accused by Experts appointed and funded by government. They imply that the guilt deniers should be prosecuted themselves, or at least watched closely…. Whoops, my mistake. The article is in Dutch and says “science deniers” and concerns “disinformation” about the [nonexistent] nitrogen crisis being used to destroy Dutch agriculture.

Hopes for HHS. My two highest priority issues are dismantling the mRNA platform and making ivermectin (IVM) over the counter. Despite safety concerns and no demonstrable efficacy of the COVID-19 shots, our government continues to recommend all babies get three of them by the age of nine months. People continue to face hurdles in accessing IVM. Pharmacists still routinely deny doctors’ prescriptions. A recent poll I ran on X with more than 25,000 respondents showed that 52% were buying their IVM from a feed store.

Annual Flu Vaccine Propaganda. Contrary to what we are told, increasing the annual flu vaccination of the elderly actually increases influenza-related deaths. Most countries do not recommend population-wide annual vaccination—nor does the WHO. U.S. policy is influenced by a desire to maintain vaccine manufacturing capacity, which requires economic sustainability—just in case we have another 1918-style epidemic. However, you cannot “vaccinate” your way out of an outbreak of influenza (or a coronavirus) with an imperfect “vaccine,” and if you try you will only make matters worse. All influenza vaccines to date are imperfect because we have not learned how to make a “vaccine” that is sterilizing and works better than natural infection. MAHA needs to think this policy through.

DNA Contamination Changed My Focus. Regulatory indifference to the potential harm of contamination with DNA, which can last a lifetime or for generations, in contrast with mRNA, which generally breaks down in hours to days, is reckless lunacy. As genetics expert Kevin McKernan writes: “In my view, somebody should go about sequencing DNA samples from stem cells of people who are vaccinated and find out if this theoretical risk has happened or not.” I am no longer trying to take down the mRNA platform but have pivoted to researching solutions to the suffering of the vaccine-injured.

Morality Matters. Libertarians often say. “I don’t care what people do in their bedrooms.” Selwyn Duke explains why he does care (tinyurl.com/4zjv4p9x). We should care about wrongness no matter where it occurs. Not caring equates to apathy, and apathy allows for public emergence and visibility, inurement, acceptance, marketing, and valuing. And since stigmas are the corollaries of values, valuing what’s wrong leads to the stigmatization of what’s right. See the sequence of transgenderism. And consider that tearing down traditional sexual
morality was a communist priority in their effort to destroy Western Civilization.
