Bill Introduced To Expand Medicare Coverage To Glasses, Hearing Aids, And Dental Care.
Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) on December 11th introduced and referred to the Energy and Commerce and House Ways and Means Committees the “Seniors Have Eyes, Ears, and Teeth Act,” HR 5853. This bill would expand Medicare coverage to eyeglasses, hearing aids, and dental care. Interestingly, some Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) plans cover these items, but since the Affordable Care Act included cuts in funding to Part C, the deductibles and copays have greatly increased.
