Despite President Obama’s assertions that the Obamacare debate is over, there is still public calls for its repeal. Since the President’s statement, the media is no longer framing the health care law as open to discussion (Heritage Foundation Blog).

An Urban Institute report contends the Congressional Budget Office estimate of the ACA’s effects on employment is high. In comparison to other social programs, reducing the receipt and quantity of low-income benefits as income increases provides an incentive for some people to work less (Urban Institute).

The state of Oregon approved a plan for the federal government to take over the state marketplace. The move comes after Oregon has spent $200 million on a website that is still plagued by problems (GOP Blog).

The Affordable Care Act is not working as boasted by the administration. New tax hikes plague average income earners in America, others are losing coverage under the ACA. The ACA will also kill part-time worker’s health care coverage and small business owners cannot hire more employees because of Obamacare’s mandates (Americans for Tax Reform).

Yet another side effect of Obamacare is being felt in people’s wallets. Drug cost-sharing under ObamaCare is 34 percent higher than in policies prior to the law. Limits on drug coverage is being seen as a way to keep insurance costs down (National Center for Policy Analysis).
