Earlier this week AAPS had the privilege of posting a presentation on our YouTube channel by one of America’s most-published physicians, Peter McCullough, MD. In the 20 minute video he explains the early treatment protocol he helped develop, with colleagues in the U.S. and internationally, that is saving the lives of COVID-19 patients around the world.
In about the first 24 hours the video received nearly 2,500 views, before YouTube banned it, and informed AAPS that: “YouTube doesn’t allow content that explicitly disputes the efficacy of local health authorities’ or World Health Organization (WHO) guidance.”
We appealed the decision and received a rejection within hours:

A U.S. Senator was also made aware of the ban and asked YouTube for an explanation. The Senator’s inquiry led YouTube to retreat, for now. YouTube offered this excuse: “Upon re-review, we have reinstated the video in question since it was mistakenly removed. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and hope you have a good weekend.”
A mistake? Or perhaps did YouTube wish to attempt to avoid oversight? Either way, we are grateful for the Senator’s assistance in winning this battle. We of course fully expect that these attempts to silence physicians will continue, as will AAPS efforts to fight back.
