A Voice for Private Physicians Since 1943

AAPS Endorses John Whitley, MD, for NC 8th Congressional District

The Association of American Physicians & Surgeons (AAPS), a voice for private medicine since 1943, enthusiastically endorses Republican conservative candidate John Whitley, M.D., for the North Carolina 8th Congressional District. AAPS has been the leader in opposing ObamaCare in the court system, bringing our own lawsuit against it within three days after it became law. AAPS has also filed 8 appellate briefs against ObamaCare.

John Whitley has made opposition to ObamaCare a priority in his campaign for Congress, and we wholeheartedly endorse his candidacy. We appreciate how his campaign ad says, “Let’s Put Obamacare Where it Belongs, the Trash!” AAPS also agrees completely with John’s key campaign position to “Repeal & Defund Obamacare Immediately” because “Obamacare is one of the worst laws ever passed in the history of our country. It is the single biggest job killer in America and it will add tremendously to our out of control national debt. … It’s a major threat to the quality of our healthcare and to our health. Doctors will leave the profession in droves ….”

For years we have known John, an accomplished neurosurgeon, we have enjoyed seeing and learning from him at medical conferences. John Whitley is a tireless advocate for quality and ethical medical care. He is also a passionate speaker who recently spoke at Tea Party rally in D.C.

John Whitley is an across-the-board conservative, terrific on many issues in addition to opposing ObamaCare. He is by far the strongest candidate in the five-man race for the Republican primary on May 8th.

John is the only physician in this race, and thus he is the only one who knows first-hand how important it is to stand up for patients and physicians alike. Once elected John will become the strongest advocate in Congress for patients – which includes everyone in North Carolina.

Republicans are likely to win this congressional seat from the Democrat incumbent, due to redistricting, and the best Republican is John Whitley, M.D. Incumbent Democrat Larry Kissell has been so ineffective that he has a challenge from his own party in the upcoming primary.

John Whitley is by far the best candidate for the 8th Congressional District of North Carolina. The Association of American Physicians & Surgeons gives John our strongest endorsement.

AAPS has long had members in North Carolina, where we have held our annual meeting.
