“Orwellian” is an apt term to describe the total surveillance in our world. But the radical transformation from traditional culture and morality (“Victorianism”) to modernism began decades before Orwell. The starkest metaphor appeared in 1915 in one of the seminal works of the 20th century and Existentialism, Franz Kafka’s novella, “The Metamorphosis” (Die Verwandlung).
The unforgettable opening sentence is: “Gregor Samsa awakened one morning from troubled dreams to find himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic cockroach (Ungeziefer).
Kafka does not suggest how or why this could have happened. The absurdity is accepted matter-of-factly, as its effects are explored. Gregor gets a different perspective as he creeps along the ceiling upside down, and he can eat only spoiled food.
A more dramatic example of being trapped in the wrong body cannot be imagined. Gregor tries to hold on to aspects of his humanity as he adapts to his new form, and attempts to overcome alienation from his family, despite their “transphobia.”
Aside from the rare case of lycanthropy, in which people believe themselves to be animals (though not repulsive vermin), today’s epidemic of “wrong” bodies concerns human bodies of the “wrong” gender. This begs the question of what a human being “is” and how and why its essence gets attached to a body. It seems to be a radical extension of Cartesian mind-body dualism. How does science deal with this non-material entity? We dare not question how people, even babes in the womb, just “know.”
Transhumanism
Human beings have inherently no greater dignity than vermin in the view of New World Order (NWO) architects, and in fact may be considered a plague on the Planet.
“A systemic transformation of the world,” said Klaus Schwab (tinyurl.com/34wz4478, AAPS News, April 2021), will lead us to a fusion of our physical, our digital, and our biological identities” (tinyurl.com/3wh8bu63). We will use nanotechnology and a direct brain-computer interface to upgrade Homo sapiens into beings who are much more different from us than we are from animals—into gods. We will replace natural selection with intelligent design—by us, explains Yuval Noah Harari, chief advisor to the World Economic Forum (tinyurl.com/yw5sdnrh).
Biopolitics and Biopower
Coined in 1905 by Rudolf Kjellén, who viewed the state as a quasi-biological organism, a “super-individual creature,” the term biopolitics was used by certain Nazis to refer to their own organic theory of the state and its people, as well as to the racist and eugenicist political program they were developing. It signifies the penetration of the political into human biology, enabling more refined and precise control over the living bodies and populations.
People are blindly accepting a biopolitical surveillance regime, in which “wearables” even monitor our emotions, for the prospect of achieving public health or “equity”—safetyism and wokeism (https://tinyurl.com/bdnh6ck2).
The Transgender Agenda
So entrenched is transgenderism in established medicine that the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) would not even allow the Society for Evidence-Based Gender Medicine to set up an information booth at its annual conference. SEGM’s members object to the widespread use of “affirmative care” protocols, which frequently send young people along a path of rapid “transition” via hormone treatments and surgery (https://tinyurl.com/4ad323yn).
To help achieve the “Triple Aim” for sexual and gender minorities (SGMs), Michael Liu et al. of Harvard advocate requiring collection of SOGI (sexual orientation and gender identity) data in electronic records (NEJM 7/28/22). How many options would be needed? The application for San Francisco’s transgender guaranteed income suggests 97 gender options (omnigender, xenogender, waria, neutrois, …) and 19 sexual orientations (https://tinyurl.com/bddmvran).
Transgenderism is “a new ideology that bears all the force of an evangelizing religion, backed by activist billionaires, which has captured all the high ground in our culture,” writes John Zmirak. “We must think through clearly, even ruthlessly, the full implications of the dogmas taught by the transgenderist cult, which public school teachers are preaching to our children—and Democrats are enshrining into law” (https://tinyurl.com/3nhvus83).
An addition to the LGBTQ++ orientations, “minor-attracted person” (pedophile), is not only gaining prominence, but persons calling attention to it might be punished, as by being sued into bankruptcy, warns Tucker Carlson (https://tinyurl.com/9y736xe2).
NWO globalists are not concerned about the unhappiness of a few transgendered people. The LGBTQ++ movement helps prevent reproduction, and also undermines the traditional structure of society. It increases the number of souls “lost in the cosmos,” as Walker Percy might say. Perhaps most importantly, by requiring people to assent to and ultimately believe that one sex can be transitioned into another, they will accept any absurdity. The result is a society that is both Orwellian and Kafkaesque.
As O’Brien said in 1984, “In our world…we shall destroy—everything…. We have cut the links between child and parent…, man and woman…. There will be no art, no literature, no science.”
Perspective: Typhus and the Holocaust
In trying to understand the “good German,” Filipe Rafaeli considers how the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto managed to curb a massive typhus epidemic, which killed 10%–40% of its victims (tinyurl.com/2y94bk5b). The established scientific consensus was that “the Jews are overwhelmingly the carriers and disseminators of typhus infection.” The epidemic wall of the ghetto Seuchensperrgebiet (restricted area, lockdown) was built to contain “these parasites.” Hans Frank, one of the highest authorities of the General Government, “following science,” stated that the murder of 3 million Jews in Poland “was unavoidable for reasons of public health.”
Some say that censorship, propaganda, and public health authorities taking action believed to be based on scientific consensus could lead the population, in fear of a disease, even to approve of a Holocaust. Rafaeli writes that this starts from a wrong assumption: that the “well-educated German people were stupid enough to believe the gross lie that Jews were guilty of the typhus pandemic.”
A mere dictatorship is not enough, he states, to attain the complicity of almost a whole society. “It needs a totalitarian state where the population is in harmony with the dictatorial government. It needs a people that collaborates by denouncing, helping, and not caring about the evil in front of them.” In such a state, evil is declared to be good.
Rafaeli understood the “good German” when reading the current story of a boy in Cyprus who was denied life-saving heart surgery in Germany, the UK, and Israel because his parents were unvaccinated against COVID. What is the difference between the doctors in those hospitals and those who applauded Dr. Jost Walbaum? What they have in common, Rafaeli states, is contempt for the lives of others (tinyurl.com/ybvtp5u2).
‘Social Justice’ over Science
The oath written by the University of Minnesota medical school class of 2026 (https://tinyurl.com/3dzvj2mj), which was quickly removed from the website, reads:
We commit to uprooting the legacy and perpetuation of structural violence deeply embedded within the healthcare system. We recognize inequities built by past and present traumas rooted in white supremacy, colonialism, the gender binary, ableism, and all forms of oppression…. [W]e commit to promoting a culture of anti-racism, listening, and amplifying voices for positive change. We pledge to honor all Indigenous ways of healing that have been historically marginalized by Western medicine. Knowing that health is intimately connected to our environment, we commit to healing our planet and communities.
Quoting an article by OutKick, Luke Rexing writes: “In what is supposed to be a factual, scientific, evidence-based profession with a long-standing code of ethics, wokeness is winning.” He adds that this ideology “has seeped into every crack of existence.”

‘Transforming the Path to Health Equity’
The 2021-2022 annual report in Columbia Medicine details efforts to lead the transformation of medical education with “anti-racist curriculum development” and work toward “meaningful change that will result in a health care system free of disparities.” Grant-writing assistance is provided to health equity scholars who will advance the investigation of health disparities, such as the disproportionate impact of chronic disease in “communities of color.” The death of George Floyd spurred a systemic effect by medical schools to create a transformative, ongoing anti-racism strategy. First, people need to understand what “anti-racist” means; then learning objectives need to be included, “because if something isn’t assessed, then it’s not taken seriously.”
Transforming (Destroying) Education & Science
“The publication of incorrect knowledge—including potentially entire sub-branches of scientific literature, and including fabricated results—can become accepted through the peer-reviewed system of publication, making it economically harder to unwind and correct the direction of science,” writes Mathew Crawford. The well is poisoned early: “Schools are a breeding ground for cheaters,” and cheating has become a “controlled feedback loop.” The method results in “brainwashing specialists into a particular form of nihilism.” The use of artificial intelligence in machine-learning algorithms (e.g., by Google) has driven the situation “from catastrophic to worse.” Their use in such a flawed educational system is “a recipe for the totalitarian destruction of science” (https://tinyurl.com/3xtju8ta).
War without End
Progressives never say where they want to go, observes Anthony Esolen. Progress implies a destination, where one can find rest and peace once one arrives—which implies the existence of a natural human order. Progressives do not believe in a natural order, and are disturbers of the peace. Evidence of their unrest abounds. Normal people do not despise their ancestors, nor do they wish that there were one sex, or 30, or none. And “normal people accept a statute of limitations when it comes to past sins, and do not expect human purity around the corner.”
Rejecting nature, the progressive reveres the state-made-god, to which he cedes an ever more intrusive central control over as many features of human life as possible. “Worry is the blood of the state’s heart.” Peace and tranquility are the enemy (Chronicles 3/1/22, https://tinyurl.com/mrx44wwd).

Eugenics: Falling and Rising Again?
California is poised to approve up to $25,000 for persons who were forcibly sterilized without adequate informed consent because the state decided they were unfit to have children. California was responsible for about one-third of 60,000 such sterilization performed in the U.S. The state has set aside $7.5 million for the reparations program for the few hundred persons still living.
The promise of eugenics when it started around 1909 was that the state could do away with prisons, hospitals, asylums, and orphanages because after a while people who were in them just wouldn’t be born. California’s law was so prominent that it inspired similar practices in Nazi Germany (tinyurl.com/59jjcy39).
Most of the Nazi physicians who helped to legitimate and implement “racial hygiene” policies were not called to account, and some were able to continue their careers. Sterilization remained part of public policy in Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia into the 1970s (NEJM 7/29/2004).
Eugenics was “one of the defining ideas of the 20th century,” writes Adam Rutherford of University College London. It was a political creed that emanated from “racist, classist, ableist” beliefs. In 1938, J.B.S. Haldane wrote, “I do not believe that our present knowledge of human heredity justifies such steps” as taken in the U.S. and Nazi Germany. Now, “we strive to change the culture of science to be more inclusive.” Also, with precision gene editing, we have “unprecedented possibilities for the control of human biology” (Science 9/24/21). What will define the 21st century?
Tavistock Centre Closing
While American doctors are advertising gender-affirming surgery for children on TikTok, Britain’s National Health Service announced that it was closing down the Gender and Identity Development Service (GIDS) at the Tavistock Clinic in London, which has seen thousands of British children for gender dysphoria. Previously, whistleblowers, a detransitioned woman, psychologists, and parents had raised concerns. The National Institute for Care and Excellence (NICE) found that the link between transitioning and improved psychological function was, in fact, very weak (https://tinyurl.com/5n8nmtsf). The coup de grâce was a report by pediatrician Hilary Cass.
Dr. Cass found that GIDS was administering potentially life-changing treatments to often vulnerable children, sometimes involving drugs whose effects it did not understand and often without adequate record-keeping to track the welfare of those children. Puberty-blocking drugs, rather than buying time to make a decision about gender, might actually disrupt the decision-making process, she wrote. Moreover, “brain maturation may be temporarily or permanently disrupted by puberty blockers, which could have significant impact on the ability to make complex risk-laden decisions, as well as possible longer-term neuropsychological consequences. To date, there has been very limited research on the short-, medium- or longer-term impact of puberty blockers on neurocognitive development” (https://tinyurl.com/5hjrpmu9).
The clinic now faces a class action suit involving more than 1,000 individuals and families. The common theme in the stories told by regretful young people is contempt for the medical “professionals” in the field of gender transition, who hurried them along without informing them of risks (tinyurl.com/ye243nwv).
FDA Sued for Interference in Medicine
Three physicians, Dr. Paul Marik, Dr. Robert Apter, and Dr. Mary Bowden, have sued the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Health and Human Services for interference with physicians’ ability to treat COVID-19. Apter v. HHS highlights the FDA’s disparaging, misleading statements to many influential organizations about ivermectin.
The main point of the case is not that ivermectin could have saved millions of lives, but that the FDA broke with both law and tradition by interfering with the practice of medicine, i.e., with the authority to prescribe drugs approved for human use for an “off-label” indication (https://tinyurl.com/3y9x4ubd). In its amicus brief, AAPS writes: “Defendant FDA has improperly exploited misunderstandings about the legality and prevalence of off-label uses of medication, in order to mislead courts, state medical boards, and the public into thinking there is anything improper about off-label prescribing” (https://tinyurl.com/28ukattt).
“In ruling against patients seeking access to ivermectin to treat Covid-19, as recommended by their physicians, multiple courts have relied on the misinformation and improper interference by the FDA as a basis for denying access now” (ibid.).
Pfizer Contract with EU Countries
From the 25-page contract that Pfizer has with Slovenia, and presumably other EU countries: “The…State further acknowledges that the long-term effects and efficacy of the Vaccine are not currently known.” Pfizer also states that vaccines are under rapid development, and that the injections will not be the same as those used in the clinical trials. The contract protects Pfizer from any claim of adverse effects (https://tinyurl.com/5n8xptrv).
Private Censorship
Two complaints by homosexuals about a cartoon in The European Conservative led a newsstand to ban the publication permanently. The cartoon mocked schools’ enforced indoctrination of young children in LGBTQ++ ideology.
“The main threat of censorship comes nowadays not from governments,” writes Theodore Dalrymple, “but from an alliance, or at least a synergy, of pressure groups and unscrupulous and pusillanimous corporations.”

Tip of the Month:
Beware of COVID Scapegoating. Although AAPS physicians were heroically on the front lines saving hundreds of thousands of lives during COVID, beware of some isolated scapegoating attempts by disgruntled patients’ families who lost relatives due to hospital protocols. Private physicians, of course, should not be blamed for the denial of care by a hospital. Powerful hospital systems are asserting in court that they determine the standard of care. They should take full responsibility for the COVID deaths they caused with their harmful protocols. Fortunately, most state medical boards recognize that the hospital deaths from COVID were not due to care by private physicians.

Former Trans Teen Calls out ‘Despicable’ AAP, AMA. In a letter of intent to sue Kaiser Permanente, Chloe Cole accuses the medical groups who performed, supervised, or advised transgender hormone therapy and surgery for her when she was between 13 and 17 years old of gross negligence. Cole recently formed Detrans United, to support “detransitioners,” and sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland denouncing the AAP, the AMA, and the Children’s Hospital Association for endorsing “gender-affirming care.” Harmeet Dhillon, CEO of the Center for American Liberty, stated: “Through this legal action, the ‘professionals’ involved will be held accountable for their despicable plot to mutilate children and financially benefit from it…. We will break the cycle of them breaking our children before it’s too late.” Everything, including bilateral mastectomy, was covered by insurance, as required by California law. With SB 107, California has become a transgender sanctuary state. Parents who bring their children to California for gender-affirming care are sheltered from prosecution for child abuse in other states (https://tinyurl.com/rhpr6k3c).

Ideology First. “Trust the experts” is the refrain every time elected officials question life-altering “gender-affirming” treatments in children. But Manhattan Institute scholar Leor Sapir examined the transgender care guidelines released by prominent medical associations, including the AAP, and supportive statements from the AMA. None had done systematic reviews of the evidence, and they misrepresented the research. Researchers in Europe contradict their conclusions, and instead find that “there is no evidence that the benefits of hormones for treating gender-related distress in youth outweighs [sic] the risks.” Sweden, Finland, and the UK have all taken steps to limit such treatments.

Mexicans, Brazilians Defend Democracy. Whoever would’ve thought that our southern neighbors have more patriotism and guts than Americans, as they hold massive protests over election fraud. They have national identity, common religion, and a shared nationality. We have multiculturalism. Up to 500,000 Mexicans in 15 cities were in the streets to protest far-left President López Obrador’s plan to eliminate the National Electoral Institute (INE) and state-based electoral authorities and possibly such safeguards as Voter ID (https://tinyurl.com/mtuxr7rz). Those pushing for the New World Order plan to control elections.

The Source of Anti-Semitism, Transhumanism, and More. As I learned while teaching in Romania, one of the first things Communists do to take over a country is bomb their historic statues and museums and invent a new “history,” then change their language using equivocal terms (same term, but different meaning). We need to study connections between historical disruptors/agendas and today’s. Transhumanism is the latest –ism grounded in ancient gnosticism. The global gurus have been trying to teach us for the last few decades how we can transfer our “brains” into computers to get rid of our evil material bodies and become purely “spiritual.” Of course, as such, we will be androgenous (transgender). The Law of Moses was a dangerous threat to the gnostics of the time, so Jews were painted as a scourge against humanity. Gnosticism is also the ancient foundation for abortion, population control, bioethics, and eugenics. As a professor I learned early on the immense influence gnosticism has today on our students and on almost every area of the humanities in the academy and every facet of our daily living. Equality through Excellence. An 80-year history of the Dept. of Urology at the Univ. of Minn. that I edited recounts the openness to innovation challenging conventional wisdom that attracted a bevy of bright young residents beginning in the 1970s—one called it a “magic moment.” Their world-class accomplishments resulted from merit in a place requiring excellence, not “equity.” A place not burdened by bogus racial hate, memory holes, and bogus “equity” sloganeering. All faculty and students aimed to best serve each patient equally well.
