More ObamaCare Problems: media roundup 1/13/2013

Like it’s English language counterpart Healthcare.gov, the Spanish language CuidadoDeSalud.gov is experiencing many problems. Users are linked to English language pages and many of the front-end aspects of the website appear to computer generated that are riddled with confusing grammar (Associated Press).

A recently released Milliman report shows that the Obamacare exchanges will suffer from both supply side and demand side problems that will ultimately disincentivize young males from signing up for coverage (Forbes).

The White House decided to end their agreement with contractor CGI, the company tasked with building out most of Healthcare.gov and have pegged IT giant Accenture to replace them (NPR).

A USA Today Opinion piece wonders why the Obama Administration chose to fight various religious leaders in a battle over mandated birth control coverage for employees (USA Today).

The vast majority of Congressional aides are worried about their staff’s health coverage and how the Affordable Care Act will alter their benefits (Politico).

While the White House is trumpeting that 6.1 million people have signed up for health coverage, the reality is the actual number to sign up through the health exchanges, is far, far less (CNN Money).
