YES to HB 273 & NO to MOC — Let Patients Keep Their Doctors

Dear AAPS Members and Friends,

Urgent action is needed to push the Ohio House Health Committee to “favorably report” HB 273 so that this crucial bill to stop MOC abuse can continue on its journey through the legislature. The hospital lobby thinks they have killed the bill, BUT with your help we can prove them wrong.

A similar effort by hospitals and other special interests to block reform failed last year in Texas when physicians and patients made their voices heard and forced the legislature to address this crucial issue.

Here’s what we are asking you to do TODAY:

Email the Ohio House Health Committee members with a very simple message along the lines of:

Chairman Huffman, Vice Chair Gavarone, Ranking Member Antonio and members of the House Health Committee:

I urge the House Health Committee to “favorably report” HB 273 at the next available opportunity. Stop special interests from erecting barriers between doctors and patients while simultaneously pushing medical care into the hands of non-physicians. Let patients keep their doctors. I encourage you to read about common misconceptions concerning this bill at

Please approve HB 273 without further delay.
